I'm getting a second HDTV in my house and want to be able to power both HDTV's from one direcTV HDTV box. I know that means I have to watch the same program on both TV's but that's not a problem. As well, I know it probably is impossible to use HDMI cable at this time or even DVI so that leaves component and regular rca cables for audio. The cable runs would be 25-50 feet at the most. I am looking for something like a component cable switchbox to use and have found the following two. I would like any opinions on these or other boxes I can look at.

As well, in the future will this be a problem such as if when copy protection starts I either won't get a signal though component or more likely have the resolution go down to 480?

All I can say is that the $119 4-way component distribution amp at smarthome.com is by far the best deal. $699 for the cheapest KDS? Might you not as well buy a second DirecTV box?
