General consensus on the FP boards seem to be that if you have the cash than go for an upconverting DVD for a marginally better PQ.


But... if you don't, then just get a "good" 480i type DVD player and let the PJ use it's own Fouradja chip do its thing...


I'm leaning towards the latter option. Can someone recommend a good 480i type player (progressive scan a bonus)...?

I have a Screenplay 4805. I'd say stick with a Progressive Scan DVD player. I recently purchased a Denon DVD-1910 for $250 and the PQ is very nice with the FP after calibration.
