I am big into dedicated theater, front projectors and screens so I am completely out of my element here. I am looking for a good flat panel biggest and best I can get for 1500 ish, Id like to get it from target since I can get 20% off but I will look elsewhere if all they sell is junk. There are way too many flatpanel models compared to fpj's so give me a place to start. Thanks.

Here's a couple of questions to get the ball rolling. You are in the LCD forum, have you decided on LCD, or are you open to Plasma also?

What is your seating distance, room lighting? What are you going to do with your new display? Gaming, use as a computer monitor, Bluray?
