I've used MakeMKV to grab episodes off Television Show DVDs with good success. However, I've found that some of the episodes off two DVDs are stuck as part of a multi-episode file and therefore I would like to cut them out.


I downloaded something called MKV Cutter and successfully marked the segment for cutting, but selecting "SAVE" just produces a file of zero size that won't play.


I only need this for 3 episodes and probably won't use it again.


What is the easiest way to do this without any reduction in quality?

mkvmerge GUI > Global > Splitting: check "Enable splitting...", select "...after timecodes" and enter timecodes like this: "00:10:00,00:20:00", that will result in three files of which the first two will be roughly 10 minutes long. (Check the guide by the author .)
