I have a 101" horizontal space that used to house 2 Sanus towers and a nice Sanus TV stand. Now that I upgraded to a 60" flat screen, I can't fit the TV and the existing equipment together. I found what looks like a great 83" Oxford TV stand, but it seems to be sold out everywhere. I get the impression a lot of places are sketchy shells of a company that simply ship their product direct from the same supplier.

BizChair.com sells it for $245 but while it looks in stock, they are out until April (happy to charge my card already though)

DecorStyler.com sells its for $271, but they are also out until April (happy to charge my card already though)

PaulsTV has it for $399 (why all the price differences!) not sure if in stock because they won't call me back

Staples, Walmart, and Sears sells via their "marketplace" from Wayfair.com, and 'lo and behold it is out of stock until April

Does anyone have any recommendations for a TV stand that will take up most of the space? 83" leaves just enough room to throw my subwoofer on the floor there and not feel like I was wasting any space. Something like this seems to be right for me. Low profile, no doors, plenty of ventilation, tempered glass. I need at least 7" clearance on the shelves and would prefer 22" - 28" total height (2-3 shelves is fine).

I have lots of components to shelve (DVR, Bluray player, Receiver, X360, XB1, PS4, PS3, etc)

Any suggestions / help would appreciated. If you know a reputable seller of this particular stand, let me know as well.

I was in the same predicament and decided to build my own. I started last weekend and hope to finish it this weekend. It is 83.5 wide 21 deep and 26 high when done. Still have to do adjustable shelves, drawers, flat panel mount, and face frame.

When I was looking there seemed to be a lot of sketchy sellers of cheap stands. Anything good was $1000 plus.

Very nice indeed. Unfortunately I don't have the wood skill and time to do a custom job. I did think about a local carpenter, but figured that would be more than I wanted to spend.

I've heard good things about the 83" stand I mention, just have trouble finding a reputable dealer that can ship me one. And then worry about the glass breaking.

Slightly smaller, and more expensive, but there is a Sonax 75" television stand available on Amazon for a little under $500 http://www.amazon.com/B-003-RBT-Bromley-75-Inch-Bench-Ravenwood/dp/B00910W42W/ref=sr_1_2?s=furniture&ie=UTF8&qid=1396119022&sr=1-2&keywords=sonax

I've had a Sonax TV stand in the living room for about 3 years and like it. And they are built in North America so that might be a plus for some. Probably going to use one of their TV stands in the near future as well for a different room.
