Hi all, I have been lurker here for awhile and I really appreciate all the valuable insight and opinions people provide.

I have recently purchased the Infinity TSS-1200CHR 5.1 speaker setup and thinking of buying the Pioneer 1019 or the Pioneer 9040 receiver. I also have a samsung 4665 1080p TV and a Sony BD player.

Will the pioneer be able to drive my speakers?

If you're making the purchase from Amazon, note that the price of the 9040 is just $5 more than the 1019. The 9040 is a better receiver than the 1019. It is a Elite-21 clone.

Thanks. I'm trying to find out if the 9040 can drive my Infinity TSS-1200 speakers well. I read that the 1019 has some limited frequencies/settings for the sub.

What do you mean by limited frequencies for the sub?
