The subject is subwoofer upgrade.
My Atlantic Technology subs (3 x 352PBM)just aren't doing it for me anymore. I love the rest of my Atlantic Technologies System 350 THX and it sounds great, but the bass lacks that 'feel it in your chest' experience. I suppose it's not surprising, they are only rated at 108db and down to 35Hz.. but I can tell you that playing a test tone anywhere below 50Hz there just isn't much there. It's hard to believe that meets THX specifications, but it apparently does. I was considering a pair of Klipsch R-115SW's but I am thinking DiY may be the way to go since my entertainment center is built in and appearance is not a consideration..
I'm good with tools, but would really prefer to start with a flatpack. I was looking at the Dayton Ultimax 15's but the cabinet kit they sell with them is about an inch too wide to fit at 19.25" wide

I have 18.5" of width and 21" of height available...
Can anyone recommend a flatpack cabinet kit that would work with my dimensions.. or even a different driver.. I'm totally open minded and plan to use an inuke6000 to drive them.. I just want to get similar performance to a pair is svs pb3000's from whatever combo I go with..
