hell all , so i am looking to build some subs for my HT which is in progress of being built and i would like to incorporate a vbss and some sort of marty. the problem i run into is shipping cost for the subs as parts express does not have free shipping to alaska. 1 pa460-8 is 75$ to ship while 2 of them is 100$ 1 of each is 140$, 1 18-22 is 100$ to ship, at these prices are they still a good value or are there other options possibly on crutchfield or amazon prime eligible? they will be used about 90% for movies. thanks in advance for any help.

Look at building multiple 12 inch subs. https://www.avsforum.com/forum/155-...4-12-jbl-speaker-29-black-friday-bestbuy.html I do believe walmart sells these also. 4 sets of 4 will get you were you want to go, plus the added benefit of placement of the sets of 4.
i hadnt thought about that, i actually picked up 4 of these a while back while on sale and i have them in a closet somewhere i planned to use them for a BOSS platform

For the cost of shipping the pa's or um18's, you can buy a lot of these 12's.

If you plan on about 4 of the JBL's to one ultimax you'll be in the vicinity of better off.
As long as you have space and like sealed, they're REALLY difficult to beat.

Either is fine. The problem with the cheap pre-built ones is that they're usually a little off in volume and look like hell. Otherwise fine.
