Looking for ANY silver surround receiver that has Preamp outs.(preferably under $1000)

All the receivers in the USA seem to be black.

I'd buy one from EU or UK but the voltage is wrong and they won't sell into the U.S.


WHY IS THIS SO HARD?

I thought this would be a cakewalk.....

Silver AVRs went out-of-style in the US around 2005 or 2006. Seems like all of the manufacturers decided to color-code non-US AVRs in silver or bronze and US in black.


Only real way to have a modern AVR in silver in the USA is this...

Cambridge 551R comes in silver and has 7.1 preamp outputs at the $1000 range and great reviews

Thanks Ryder,

I was aware of the Cambridge Audio unit but I have never been a fan of their products and at $1199 it is kind of underwhelming. I have a really nice Hovland Stereo amp and preamp and I only want to be able to add a center and rear channels to the mix, so hence the pre-outs. All my gear just happens to have turned out to be silver so at this point black would stand out.

Arcam has silver units and it's dual voltage (I have it), has pre-outs and available in NA but not in your price range. You can't find anything EU or UK made under $1k as they aren't mass market brands.
