Hi,

does anybody know whether there is a better version available other than the UK DVD/RC2 of Quiet Earth (Geoff Murphy). Is there maybe an Australian/New Zealand version?

This film is an old favourite of mine and it is not out on RC1 as far as I know.

Hi,

Currently the only version is the Pegasus R0(UK) version. Unfortunately it hasn't been released in NZ yet - go figure!?

Its a movie that calls out for better treatment. Especially now that Bruno Lawrence's is dead, perhaps if it is released again it will be with the documentry on Bruno -Numero Bruno on it.

I still don't get the ending, or rather it leaves itself to interpretation what the meaning was.

It is a science fiction movie that has a strong storyline to it rather than special effects.

From memory it had some great music tracks on it as well.

thanks for the info although it is quite sad what you say, the UK-Version is really horrible (looks like a bad VHS-transfer).


OTH I second every other word you say. This is one of my all time favourite scifi movies.


Music is great!


Let's hope that there will be a better transfer available soon!
