Budget: $700-800


Looking to start with a good receiver, 2 floor standing Fronts, 1 center and 1 Sub. What would you guys recommend?


My earlier system built with earlier recommendations: Yamaha V663, Athena Fronts and Center.

why don't you want to keep the Yamaha V663 ? You will get the most bang for the buck by spending your budget on speakers.


If you have the space for larger speakers, take a look at Elemental Designs A6 towers, center and sub. Use their "package builder" for a 3.1 system and get a decent discount.
