Hey,

I just bought the panasonic DMP-BD30 and it looks great on my 32inch samsung (yes it actually works fine, so far). But now it leaves me wanting a bigger TV for the great picture quality that the player gives off. Any suggestions out there? Thank you

Go ahead Lazy Guy and lets us spend your money.

Since you favor a Samsung already it seems a 4671 Samsung may do you well but dammit I know your going to want a 52" a week later so keep that in mind. Sony S,V,W,XBR's are also great depending on budget. Strong fan base for the Toshiba also if it's been rid of it's green push.

I am able to get the SHARP LC46D62 for a price under one thousand. (slightly under.) I know this is the older model and, as such, need some opinions as whether it is a good deal.

Thank You.

My budget is around $1,500 to $1,800 trying not to go over too much.

The D62U model has more problem with banding than the newer model, D64U. So, if you insist on getting the D62U, make sure you get it somewhere where you can exchange it in case you get a banding set.

In that case, Samsung LN-T4671 is over that. So, your best bet for that price range is a Samsung LN-T4665F.

Some of the sponsors should be able to sell you a Pioneer Kuro 5080 for about $2K, incl. shipping. It is a 1366x768 set, though. Very highly regarded TV.

For LCD, Samsung's LNT4665F is a great choice in that price range. If you like matte finish, the 4661F is very good, too.
