I currently have a Samsung 55" 1080p LCD from 2015 but want to upgrade. Looking to watch 4k movies and play on the PS5. I was gifted a Vizio 5.1.4 Dolby Atmos sound bar. I am looking at Qled or Oled but not sure what HDMI I need for the HDR and Dolby Atmos and what not. Can anyone point me in the right direction for better Tv's in the 65" or 75"? Thank you.

Up to $3000 and yes I think HDMI 2.0 or 2.1.. again, not sure what's the best to connect a 4k Blu-Rey and Ps5.

If you wish to game from the PS5 at 4k/120Hz, you'll need HDMI 2.1.

A 4k BluRay disk player needs HDMI 2.0a or later. (2.0a does HDR10 and Dolby Vision. HDMI 2.0b adds Hybrid Log Gamma, which doesn't seem to be widely used at the moment.)

Ok, so I'm looking for a tv that has at least 1 HDMI 2.1 and 2.0 for Blu-Rey player.. and correct me if I'm wrong, I will need an eARC for the Atmos sound bar to work or would just ARC be good? I read somewhere that only eARC would work.. not sure though.

Cool, thank you for the help.
When we get our forever home, I plan on a dedicated HT room with proper equipment..

What's the exact model number of the soundbar? For example: if you have a P514a-H6, you definitely want a TV with eARC. The P514a-H6 accepts a bitstream input (needed for fully-blown Atmos or DTS:X).

I don't know, but I doubt that there are any HDMI 2.1 TVs that lack eARC. (For LG, I believe that became available on the 2018 models.)
