Hi Everyone I just finally upgraded my Tv and its truthfully bigger than I wanted to go but It seems I am the only one who looks for higher end (quality) Tv's with smaller sizes 42 or less.

So anyway I just bought the Panasonic 50 inch ST60 I took and used Cnets calibration for picture and was wondering if anyone had any gaming specific calibration settings to use or that they would recommend for this Tv. I tried switching 1080P direct off/on and played with the game setting off/on I didn't notice much either way but probably more so as I'm not used to this tv and don't do professional calibrations.

My one issue I noticed between this Tv and my older Samsung flat panel tube tv (with gaming) it seems to have a lag when you turn side to side. In other words it gets blurry for a second.

So any help would be appreciated Thanks.

Turn game mode on in menu system. Go to picture settings then advanced picture and turn game mode on. It apparently saves .80 ms in lag. At least that's what one test shows. I believe cnet advises the same. Here is link to article/test which also includes calibration settings. Cnet and dnice's ( on this site) provide a starting point for settings as well.

I've read the S60 might be the best choice for gamers with this years plasma line up from Panasonic. Good luck. Let us know if the setting makes gaming enjoyable again!

Thanks for the info. I do already have game mode mode on with using setting from cnet calibrations for the picture. I currently have the 1080P Direct on Off as was not sure exactly what it did.
