Hi AVS Forum.

I'm a 4:3 CRT fan and am looking to expand my CRT collection. Sonys are my favorite but I'm finding it hard to find information on models and specs.

I currently have a 4:3 32" Sony Flat CRT (manufacture date 2006, I'll update thread with the exact model number).

I want to know what the largest and newest 4:3 CRT Sony made. I'd like to replace my 32". I believe it's a 36"? I'm just assuming that their most recently released model would be the best one?

Not interested in projectors.

I'd also like to know what the smallest and newest 4:3 flat model Sony released? I've found some 13" models, some with stereo sound and some mono. I'd prefer stereo.

Cheers,

It's not exactly the newest but I think the Sony PVM 4300 is a 45"monitor. Here's somebody who posted theirs. It's nowhere near as new as the 40" 40XBR800 on the wikipedia's list though.

Sony had some small 5" C.R.Ts. although I don't think any of those were stereo. The P.V.M. models are amongst the better ones because some of those have discrete R.G.B. hookups but I don't know of any specific models' age.

The smallest and newest consumer grade model I'm aware of is the KV25th, which is monaural with composite input. Only 2,500 numbered units were made for the Sony Trinitron's anniversary in 1996. It's the second television pictured in this post. I actually have one but I stashed it away in the garage here recently...
