I'd suggest a Sony X900H or X90J if you can afford one of them is best from your list, though the Hisense U7G is good for its lower price but its not as good as Sony for motion and upconversion.
I could. I have had some issues with dead pixel right out of the box, or possibly dust particles under the screen. Need some quality control.I'd suggest a Sony X900H or X90J if you can afford one of them is best from your list, though the Hisense U7G is good for its lower price but its not as good as Sony for motion and upconversion.
In your OP, you said no OLED and under $1500. Have you changed the criteria? What about a Vizio OLED? Granted, I could get the LG A1 for the same price as the Vizio OLED.

I like my Vizio OLED's. Amazing picture quality. Have a 65" in the living room and 55" in gaming room. If you use it with a 120hz gaming console, expect to have to reset it occasionally (I keep mine at 60hz and no issues on the PS5 or RTX2080). Dolby Vision from 4K BluRays and streaming is knock out great. Good choice. So is the Sony X950H if you dont need HDMI 2.1, or X900H if you do.What about a Vizio OLED? It is very dark, to almost completely dark when I use the TV. A lot of news and other things with static images might come into play from time to time. Possibly for hours on end. I do not know. How bright is the room you want it for?
The X950H is absolutely out. I have tried that one, and it seems like Sony has some serious quality control issues there. That one is off the board for sure.I like my Vizio OLED's. My opinion below
Vizio OLED - Best picture, least brightness on HDR, plenty bright for SDR
950H - Second Best picture, brightest for HDR, no HDMI 2.1, best motion
900H - Third best picture, middle bright, one HDMI 2.1 with no VRR, Does have NextGen TV tuner
U8H - Bright, motion issues, ghosting on games, good for movies and TV, not sure about longevity.
If I can be guaranteed zero burn-in and an absolutely perfect panel, with excellent motion handling, and it falls into the price range, then an OLED is not out of the question. In your OP, you said no OLED and under $1500. Have you changed the criteria?
There is no guarantee in anything. Sounds like you have the money but do not want to spend over $1500 because a TV is not that important to you. No different then a lot of people IMO OLED is out get an LED they are always on sale. And dont look backIf I can be guaranteed zero burn-in and an absolutely perfect panel, with excellent motion handling, and it falls into the price range, then an OLED is not out of the question.

There's a lot of choices at 65". The poster might actually be the perfect candidate for the Hisense dual cell. They don't need the brightness of the of miniLED or the X950H. They like OLED but fear burn-in. They don't need an 85" display. The Hisense dual cell might be the perfect display for them. It won't quite have the value (at all), but. (Then, I remembered in the US it's only going to be available at 75".)You say no Samsung, no Sony, so just get the Hisense U7G 65" for $1,100. Use the $400 you saved for an AVR or sound bar.

Because MSRP on the U8G is $1249. I am not paying $350 more because Electronics Express is the only place that can get them. There's a lot of choices at 65". How about the Hisense U8G 65" for $1600? It's slightly more but it will be discounted for Black Friday, so I bet that will be in budget then. No? What about last year's Vizio P Series Quantum X?

Here I go being picky. I am not an open box kind of person. I do not want something someone else had. There is a reason it was returned, and I may not want to find out what that was. This is toughest bracket man, under 1500 for a 65 inch.
I feel like all the 2021 options are landing you some pretty okay TVs but nothing that is great and that feels a bit bad to say but its true.
I think your best bet is U8G and hope you get a good panel, or find a Q80T or Q90T on sale from last year somewhere but you said you dont want a Samsung so alternatively x950h is a good bet at 65 inch, you might be able to find a good discount on it at a local place trying to move them out or an open box price at Best Buy or Costco. P series is also a consideration as well maybe.
Dead pixels and what looked like dust particles under the screen. If I pay money for something, I expect it to be absolutely perfect. Otherwise, I can live with not having it.Such as?
