Greetings flat panel folks!
I currently own and use a Sharp Aquos 46" LCD with an HD-DVR and Sharp BD-HD20 Blu-Ray player.
I'm looking for eye candy, something that is better. Sharper or crisper if you will. The one thing I notice about motion blur, is when a movie pans. The picture gets really blurry to my eyes.
The Sharp Aquos was the big move for my wife and I back in 2007 when I upgraded from my Sony Trinitron XBR 36" CRT. Man, the picture on that was amazing, but it weighed like 200 pounds and was almost as big as my living room. I really love the switch to flat panels.
My wife is very anti-change. She had said that our TV looked good enough and we didn't need to spend money on a flat panel. Oh boy, did she ever eat those words when we got the new TV. She was amazed, especially at HD programming and that made me happy. I am an audio/video junkie. I see the benefit to upgrade a lot of things. I love IMAX movies, where she says she can't tell the difference between IMAX and a regular movie screen. I don't think I could have watched Watchmen, Avatar or Star Trek in a normal theater. It is almost an aphrodisiac for me!
I'm now looking for that next step in quality. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
