I am looking to purchase a 5.1 surround sound system. I visited a magnolia store over the weekend and after comparing multiple brands and models I came up with the following list.
First, let me say that I am into next-gen gaming (xbox 360, wii, ps3) and movies. I don't plan on using this setup for music though it would be nice to listen to once in a while.
I'm looking for candid feedback on the setup below and any recommendations you may have. Also, Is the pricing reasonable?
mythos owe B-floor standing speaker set - $1600 pair
CLR2300B Powered Center - $560
Supercube II Subwoofer - $850
Mythosgem b satellite speakers (small rear) - $460 pair
Denon AVR 4306 - $1850 130wpc
The salesman also demanded that I purchase a Panamax line conditioner. Mid-range model around 450. Is this really necessary?
