About two years ago, I put together my first surround set up with the Andrew Jones set along with the Energy 10.3 sub and a Denon AVR 1613. I love it, but have two regrets. I wish I had gotten a receiver with at least one more HDMI input. I also should have gone with smaller surrounds. They were hard to mount properly, and have been a sore spot with my wife from day one due to their size. I'm sure some day I will go hog wild with a dedicated media room with gigantic speakers, but today is not that day.

Now I realize the speakers are designed as a set, but what are some small satellites that could do the job?

I do like the looks of those polks. I'm sure the wife would approve. They MAY be a little pricier than I wanted, though. I will certainly keep them in mind as an option. Do I need to buy mounts separately, or are they easily mountable out of the box?

The NXGs look ok as well, but there isn't much info on them and I'm not familiar with the brand.

Several forum members own them and like them - and the all around word is good.

Do not be surprised if the midrange and treble, holds up against the Pioneer.

Get some used cube speakers from Cambridge Soundworks (Ensemble IV). Try eBay. These are small (4" cube) and have a sound that should blend well with the Pioneer speakers.
