I'm having a very annoying sound problem with Denon 3313ci and my HTPC : half of the time my computer boots or restart, i don't have any sound and

The only way to get back my sound is to reboot my HTPC or restart my receiver.

I've had issues with hdmi video handshake in the past, so i have tried the EDID override trick and ended up buying a Gefen HDMI Detective. That fixed all problems i had with hdmi handshake. But now i'm having problems with audio

I have tried to remove my HDMI Detective but i'm still having problems with audio.

I've tried different sound mode on my receiver and it doesn't change anything. Currently it is set to Multi CH stereo and i'm still having problems. I have also tried with a different input and tried letting the receiver set the sound mode by itself.

setup:

- HTPC with sound over hdmi

- HIS iSilence H775P1GD Radeon HD 7750

- Denon 3313ci

- Windows 8

I started losing my pIoneer AVR vsx-31 as a default playback device about a week ago. I have USB speakers and the pioneer. I usually start the computer with the AVR off and work with the monitor and the USB speakers. Now to get to select the vsx-31 I have to first turn on the AVR and reboot the computer. I assume microsoft changed something in a recent update.

Ok i found out that the problem is due to my graphic card (HIS iSilence H775P1GD Radeon HD 7750)

If i use my inboard HDMI from my AMD A8 GPU i dont have the problem anymore.

This sucks that i cant use a video card i paid $150 for...

I always use last up-to-date drivers

Never had any problem with my old Onkyo TX NR609 but since i switched to the Denon 3313ci i was having all sort of problems with hdmi audio.

Now that i switched back to inboard HDMI my hdmi-audio problems are gone. But it really sucks that i can't use this video card anymore, it will be sitting in my closet and i won't be able to game on my htpc anymore
