I've got a Mits SR-HD5 and have been getting all the local HD stations perfectly for about a month. All of a sudden I can't get CBS or ABC. I get a great signal (> 90) on the physical channel (55) but it says Channel Unavailable when I try to get the logical one (8-1).


Any clues?

Yes. You need toenter your zip code in the local setup menu.

There was a software upgrade to 5099 recently. There are several threads in the forum that you can read that discuss this issue.

Thanks! That did it. Saw the other posts but thought they just weren't getting the program info, didn't realize it also affected channel presence (but it makes sense).


The weird thing is now I get CBS-HD (8-1) which is what I wanted. But I don't get CBS-SD (8-2) which I got before I put in the zip code.

Punch in 55-2. That should bring it back.
