You could try contacting the place where you purchased the unit to see if they can send you a copy of your receipt.

I lost the receipt to my integra 7.8. I moved from one state to the next in the military and just can't find it. It is covered under a 3 year warranty, and the unit isn't even 3 years old. Basically, I was watching TV and the screen on the front of the unit just died- but the sound and everything still works. I called Integra twice, and the same very unhelpful representative answered the phone twice and told me that they can't look up my serial number to see if the unit is still under warranty. That sounds like a load of crap to me. I called DTR repair in Colorado, the closest repair center to me, and the lady on the phone said that Onkyo/Integra has sent many special authorization forms before for repair for customers that lost their receipt. She said that was her first time hearing that a representative wouldn't look it up by serial number to check the eligibility of the unit. WTF? Any suggestions here?
