About a year ago I upgraded my Replay 3000 by replacing the hard drive with a 120GB IBM 7200 rpm drive. I used RTV Patch 2.2.4 and had success. My Replay unit showed 127 hours of record capacity at the extended level. For some reason my record capacity is back down to 30 hours at the extended level, yet when I pause it say’s I have 46+ hours of pause time! I took the hard drive out of the unit and hooked it up to my PC and ran the RTV Patch utility, it still recognizes that the drive is 120GB in size. Anyone have any ideas as to what happened and how I can fix this without losing my recorded shows?

Hmm.

I think you're gonna need to lose the shows.

777 + Zones will reset it to its defaults, and if that doesn't fix it then you need to repatch.

If you are getting the 30 Hours at Extended Quality number from the Replay Guide, and you have set up ~97 hours of Guaranteed Recordings, this is what you should see. (or 48 Hours at Medium, 32 at High)

However, if this is the case, the only way you could also see 46 hours of Pause time available would be if you don't actually have anything currently recorded on the Replay, Guaranteed or Non, which doesn't seem to jibe with you desire not to lose any of your recordings.

If you haven't had any other problems, you might want to just let it be for now. If a directory entry for a particular recording that is already on the machine is corrupt, it could explain (?) the behavior you are seeing. If this is the case, it might resolve itself when you finally watch and delete that show.

The only reason I say this is that last summer my 3060 was reporting over 100K hours available at extended, until I watched an episode of New Yankee Workshop and deleted it. After that, everything reported properly, and I had lost nothing.
