I know that they showed the LOTR trilogy in high def on cable/sat. Does anyone know where I can buy or d/l these (running out of patience waiting for the release- I'm having a friend over - who's coming over to see the LOTR. so I'd like to watch it in high def instead of SD - DVD.

I do not believe you can legally download or buy the HD copies, you would have had to record them to your HD DVR and had them ready for viewing...

That made me think of the begining of Hackers. When they guy gets the modem number and chages the stations programming.


I would buy that on HD DVD.

Couldn't find any HD showings. TBS is showing the SD edited fullscreen version in a few weeks....




Anyway you maybe able to get it on-demand if you have it..

Otherwise no legal HD copys yet
