Lots of component inputs (advice around 300-500)...

I have the Athena Micra 6 speakers and am looking to upgrade my receiver. I need some suggestions for all around receivers/brands in the 300-500 area. I will use it for music, games and movies. I was also looking for one with more than 3 component ins, so I can support all my video game systems. I was thinking a Onkyo or Denon. Not sure though, I'm pretty new to this whole home theatre world and I live in a rather small apartment.

Are the Marantz SR7500 and SR8500 still the only two under $2000 that have four component inputs? At your price point, you're only going to find a component video switcher + receiver as a real option I suspect.
If your requirement is to handle multiple game platforms through component video inputs than an external switcher is your best, cost-effective solution since you will only be using 1 game console at a time..

Here is a clever 4 IN 1 OUT Component Video switcher controllable by remote from Xantech for $168....

yup, need an external switch. No receiver with more than 3 component ins in your price range
