There is a lot of noise and a considerably noticeable "dragging effect" (or shadowing effect) when watching anything on my 43LC14. Whether it's from the dvd player (component connections, but not upconverting), or just regular dish network via either coaxial, s video, or rca connections, the picture just isn't crisp at all.

I know the picture is coming from a cappy source via crappy connections, but on my dad's 60" sony rear LCD, he's got an incredible picture and he's just using an RCA signal from the dish network box. There's no noise or dragging effect.

My question is this just a crappy internal scaler in the TV?
