I've got a midrange JVC 5.1 receiver and recently purchased a set of Sony Satellite speakers..


as it turns out the speakers were originally packaged with a Sony HT in a box setup, and are rated at 3 ohms.


I checked the documentation on my receiver and it states that each channel is rated for 8 ohms.


It looks like I'm stuck with these speakers. I take it they won't work safely on my setup? Perhaps I can wire in a 5ohm resister somehow?


This is all sounding terribly Mickey Mouse to me ..
