Low price Piano?

414 Views 3 Replies 4 Participants Last post by  chrisreeves
I heard recently that PLUS is selling the Piano at a very low price (around $1600?) Has anyone heard anything. It looks like the Website still has HE-3100 @ $2699 - Maybe these are refurbs?

Laser - There is a good chance they are refurbs as about a month ago Plus US quoted me $1,899 for a refurb 3100.
they actually are the dealer demos returned to Plus from dealers across the US to make room for the 3200 demos. They are $1899 and they quote the machines have an average of 200 hrs on the bulb. I bought one about a month ago a must have got lucky as my machine only had 1 hour on it. Virtually new!
Mr. Laser - Try waiting a few weeks for the new Infocus X1. It will have a lower price, brand new, than a refurb Piano and it will have much higher contrast, due to using the newer 12 degree DLP chip. The X1 is looking like a break-through product in terms of price/performance ratio.

The Piano 3100 was a great product but it is old technology now in terms of the fast-changing projector market.
