I hooked up a brand new Denon 2310ci today, but the volume from the right-surround channel is low (but still audible). I've swapped right-surround speaker and wire into other channels and it works fine. I've swapped other speaker and wire into the right-surround channel and the volume is low.

I've been using the test tone in the Channel Level menu. I don't have a good feel for sound levels, but there's at least a 12 db difference between right-surround and the other channels. Anything I can test further? Or is this defective hardware?

Thanks in advance

The test tone is too quiet? And you used auto setup?

Could be a problem with the receiver.

Yes. When trying to set up Audyssey, I can hear it increase the volume to that speaker, but it's apparently not enough as the receiver concludes the speaker is missing. Guess I'll contact Denon support. Thank you.

EDIT: issue was resolved by resetting the microprocessor as suggested by technical support
