I have a 1613 running through Energy 5.1.

The volume output is very low. It does not even start to have audible sound until the control is in the 30's. I often have to have it at 65 hear the TV audio.

Any tips?

Sorry, Denon 1613

That's normal. But the "Pros" use the decibel scale that starts from down at around -80 dB and goes up to cinema reference level at 0 dB reading (and a bit more).

I normally watch a movie in my living room at -15 dB. Loud enough.

You can change in the menu of the Denon 1613. Did you run Audyssey yet? It will set up your speaker + sub levels to movie reference. Hope this helps.
