Lowes SKU for Parkland Plastics sheet

i spent 3+ hours today hunting down a parland plastics sheet. let me get to the question as quick as i can. I used the usual home depot receipt number/UPC as a start (637553000012). Actaully i called a home depot locally and they didn't have any and said none in the region would. Called across the country and found a store that did have them and had them give me the Home Depot SKU # (left it at work). Tried the Home Depot web page with the sku.....no dice.

Tried Lowes. Found a local store that matched on the home depot UPC, it was called poly wall and had a price of 13.75....sound like the stuff.

(Lowes SKU#72405) However when i went to the store the guy said it was a "mistake" that they got it and that they were going to send the whole bundle back and couldn't sell me a sheet. also said that he was pretty sure it wasn't made by parkland plastics. He showed me another type of board that he called FRP and it was pretty stiff and $36 a sheet. It had dimples on one side. it wasn't made by parkland plastics and he claimed the stuff in the back was made buy the same company. (however, im starting to doubt that because he said the price was the same and its not) So i called another lowes an hour away. they had it in stock, verified the sku and price as the same. The guy said his computer said it was shipped from a company calle Wayerhausen(sp??) but that they often just stock other companies stuff. He also doubted it was from parkland. however, if the upc matches home depots and the price is in the right range...doesn't this stuff have to be it. Problem is i dont want to drive an hour to get a sheet. I might just call the store manager at the local lowes and ask politely for them to sell me one, but i dont want to go through that and have it turn out not to be the right type.

Can anyone tell me what the Lowes SKU# is for the parkland plastics. if its is 72405 then i know i have the right stuff and ill try to squeeze it out of the local joint.

Thanks!

My Lowe's receipt has the following:

72405 .060x4x8 Plastex $13.57

The staff at my local Lowes was initially confused too; they didn't have the slightest idea what it was. But they eventually just scanned the bar code at the cash register and it was in the computer system.

Hope that helps!
ding ding ding......looks like we have a winner. thanks Keith!! Hey keith how did you know it was the parkland plastics sheet? did it have a label or anything on it? and how flimsy is it? if the skus and the price are identical it has to be the same stuff. im going to go ahead and call first thing and push for them to sell me a sheet then.

For anyone in the Austin,TX area this is the NW lowes on 620/183.

Just for the records and anyone searching. Heres the skus/upcs ive compiled from other posts and my own research. bear in mind, these skus might not be correct for stores across the country, but my guess is that they are.

Parkland Plastics

UPC #: 637553000012

Home Depot SKU is: #179-646

i called the assistant store manager and got her to sell me a sheet. went out and sure enough, plastered on the first page was the label sticker and the name Parkland Plastics. The gruff in charge of millworks is an idiot. he either flat out lied - or was spouting off about something he is totally ignorant of.

I found a stack of 50 pieces (still banded together) stored up on top of some cedar lumber, about 20 feet off the floor. We could just barely make out "parland plastex" on the cardboard wrapping. It's pretty flimsy.....it can be rolled.
bergie33,

No that's not the only sizes that they come in, but it seems that's the only size that the stores are carrying in stock. You can order other sizes from the hardware store that stocks them or straight from Parkland Plastics themselves. The feedback from Parkland Plastics support is outstanding.
