I have posted 8 screen shots of my new Infocus LP530.

The first 5 are of Toy Story 2 and they are projected

onto a wall that is Sandstone colored. Image is 4:3 and

is 15' diagonal.

The last three are 9' wide, 16:9, projected onto blackout

fabric stuck on the wall with push pins.

There are some areas of the images that appear out of focus,

this is due to motion. The sky in the last shot did not capture properly(camera problem, not image problem),

but the mountains did.

How does the sharpness in the screenshots compare with the projected image? It doesn't look very sharp anywhere.

Thanks

Images look good, but why are images 2 & 4 so pixellated?

All of the problems being mentioned appear to be related to the process of photographing screens. Maybe we should standardize this process. Until we do we will have great variation.

If you would notice photo 4 and 5 were taken from two different locations while the dvd was paused. They are of exactly the same image. That was the only photo taken with the image paused.

I will attempt to get a better shot tonight.

dtcorbett,

-- In another thread you mentioned a halo problem but I don't see much of a halo in your pictures - is that an artifact of the photos?

-- Did you ever see the halo from an LP425, 340 or 350? If so, how does the 530 compare?

OMG.

OMG.

I must have a projector NOW.

Other than that, I echo the halo comment: I don't see it in the photos. And, the last pic of the guy on the snow covered mountains shows a lot of blur, especially near his right forearm. Is that just because it wasn't paused?

OMG...

Actually I used that shot for the mountains. The sky came out bad, and the man is moving, therefore blurred, but the detail in the mountains was great.

I have added 3 shots from the Matrix, all on blackout fabric, 9' wide. The photos do not do the image justice. The camera is not picking up the full level of detail, dark areas of the image melt into one large black area in the photo, the halo is not visible in these photos due to the exposure of the camera(set to auto). Photo 10 gives a good idea of the detail levels in Agent Smith's face.
