The onboard processor in the LT150 is not the best. You should use an external line doubler for a better picture. I'm using a DVDO Iscan plus and it is quite an improvement. There has been a lot of discussion about this, you might try doing a search.
I notice some motion artifacts with the DVDO but the picture looks pretty good. I am only projecting an 85" diag. image for TV. What projector were you getting a tolerable NTSC image from?
I think you are right about you may be using a weak signal. I'm using a Satellite signal so we are really comparing two different things. If you have digital cable I would think the signals should be similar.
The artifacts I spoke of seem to occur as a slight blurring. I notice it around facial closeups in the eyes. I am comparing to DVD through HTPC or Prog scan player so I am fairly critical. I've had several people see the TV picture say it was awesome. Its all a matter of perspective.
Is the varience due to source material or bandwidth. Its obvious that it varies but I always thought it was because of the source material.
