The LT-150's fixed throw is not really great for our place and so I am wondering if the 150z will be a better match for our room dimensions. Searched here and found nobody coming out with anything on the throw distances, or any link for a pdf user file or pdf throw formulae for the 150 z.

Tough to find anything on the web in terms of pdf files specific to the LT-150z, until I found this:

I have a feeling one ought to be able to work out the formulae for max and min throw distances with this........any optical engineer gurus out there want to take a shot? :D

FYI:

Appears the 150z is the same fixed throw that the 150 is. All of the "Zoom" and "Keystone" stuff is in software and just alters the image in the buffer. I Doubt this is the best for Home theater.

Lens: f=28.3-34 mm.

This looks like a zoom lens to me.

It is my educated guess that the formula is:

Dmin = 2.06 x W

Dmax = 2.47 x W

Where W is the image width.

Regards.
