hello, got my lt150 lastweek and quickly ordered the all in wonder radeon agp version...which came yesterday for viewing directv. hook it up and was very impressed with it. my question is...on viewing dvd, did i made a downgrade? cause i had a geforce 2 ultra video card on my htpc. should i just stick with the geforce2ultra and buy a radeon wonder add on tuner card? hmm...been reading about the radeon scaling but what about the geforce2 ultra scaling? what do you think?

Well, I'm using a GeForce2MX on mine, with a Hauppage TV tuner, which IMHO is a better combination than the All In Wonder Radeon (cheaper too!).

For DVD playing though, using PowerDVD, I have the 3D Hardware feature turned off as it looks better without it, although I admit I still need to try quite a few combinations of settings before discarding that. I believe that even though that switch is off, the GeForce2 scaling/anti-aliasing is still being used as I doubt PowerDVD can do all that in software.

Either way I'm much more pleased with this setup, as I can now also use DScaler ( http://www.dscaler.org ) with my PC. The ATI TV Tuner is good, but when projected at 120", it looks horrible, while DScaler takes care of all that. DScaler is not compatible with AIW cards, so you would need a Hauppage or some other TV Tuner / S-Video in solution.

I must say I'm impressed with DScaler since it cleans up even my cable reception (those filters like the noise filter one are awesome!). I definitely recommend it at least looking at it.
