I don't see rainbows too often, and when they do become visible, it doesn't bother me. However . . . I notice that my eyes get tired after watching DVDs for a while. If I go back to my RPTV, my eyes seem to relax more. Is this due to the color wheel? Maybe the eyes can't see it, but they can feel it?

I'm using a home made screen painted with Behr's Ultra White (about 1.3 gain). Maybe a grey screen help eleviate the eye strain? I slapped a piece of drywall against the screen and it seemed to help a little. Also, if I use a gray screen, is there an exeptable shade that is a fair trad-off between the punch of a DaLite HiPower and reports of a somewhat drap GreyHawk?

regards,

chris

Chris,

I also use Behr Ultra white. You might want to try a bit of ambient room light. There is another thread in this forum that addresses this. You will find it in the last 10 days probably.
