I am close to purchasing an LT150 and was wondering how it does with standard (regular old cable) TV. Given the cost of replacement bulbs, I wouldn't use it all the time but maybe for certain sporting events. Is the image quality close to that of a TV or not? I plan to run my cable into a VCR and use composite to the LT150 (very open to suggestions of other methods not involving expensive equipment).

Thanks,

Jay

Watching the LT150 fed with a composite NTSC signal looks best for me when viewing "native mode". This only uses a fration of the LCD display, but there is no scaling involved and the picture looks sharp. The biggest downfall is you reduce your brightness in half because you are using only a portion of the panel. Light controlled room is an absolute must. I haven't had much luck making NTSC look good running through my Quadscan Elite, but I am still experimenting.
