$2300 shipped for LT150 and $300 for 1000 hr bulb. You'd have to go above 4K to beat it IMHO. Other good values include NEC VT540K for slightly less than $3K, LT154 for $2200. LT85 for $1600, LT75z for $2K (LT85 with zoom and economode for 1500 hr bulb life with same bulb as LT85 and LT150 by using less voltage--3V instead of 5V).
The Sanyo XW series are pretty good values for LCD too IMHO.
For the budget minded, Sony VPL-CX1 is an XGA LCD for $1500 (probably cheapest XGA units around brand new). It's downfall is 200:1 contrast and merely 550 lumens (image is still very satisfying in dark room).
When going with DLP beware that some people can't stand rainbows and get eye fatigue and headaches with 60Hz strobe imaging.
