The latest Lumagen firmware update delivers a fully working 48Hz for film sources.
This is great news for CRT owners who want to achieve the 48Hz refresh rate of theatrical presentation, remove image judder caused by 3:2 encoding, or simply lower their bandwidth requirements (usually resulting in sharper images).
You can of course use 72Hz if you prefer (be careful of bandwidth requirements!)
After passing various video clips and the AVIA Pro edit transition test sequence I watched an entire movie. Cadence was lost only once due to a bad edit and recovered in a split-second. Very impressive.
