Lumagen VisionPro HDP Help!!!

734 Views 4 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  Scott Gammans
Everything was fine until I upgraded to the newest firmware released last week.

Now my moto 3412 is acting funky flashing on the front panel every few seconds and I cant get a picture from it. I try to go into menu on the lumagen while its happening and it wont let me change things fast enough as the menu goes away whenever the moto box flashes on front panel. I tried unplugging everything and doesnt matter.

Also my toshiba hda1 has a green screen now. Had to revert back to RGB colorspace instead of 422.

Anyone that can help me please. I emailed lumagen, but was wondering if anyone on here has a clue what is going on.

Chip, you wouldn't happen to have a universal remote that's flashing at both your VisionHDP and your Motorola box, would you?

I have the VisionHDP and a similar Motorola DVR to yours, and last week I discovered that IR commands sent to the Motorola box were affecting my Lumagen box as well. It would not be unreasonable to hypothesize that IR commands sent to your Lumagen box could be sending funky signals to your Motorola box that are causing it to act up.

Just a thought...!

Also, there is a problem with the HDA1 handshaking. I've sent Patrick my config file, and he's checking it out. For the time being, revert back to the !ug04 firmware.

I am using the harmony 880. Seems like there is no problem unless I use the latest firmware. I do know that the comcast box has problems with the hdmi output. Comcast told me a newere firmware is on the way. 12.35 was horrible so I went to 12.31 and they said a new one will help many issues that was going on with the box resetting itself. I think the edid data between the two units is toxic.
I know that my Comcast friends have nothing but trouble with their Motorola DVRs (mute problems, problems watching & recording a show simultaneously, etc., etc.) but I've never had those problems myself (my Moto box uses Verizon FiOS's software). It doesn't sound like you're having the problems I recently experienced with infrared remote controls on my VisionHDP box, but you might want to read this thread just in case, if you're not already aware of it. Good luck.
