I've done searches and read reviews on the 1010 and 410 (Including Bill's comparison of the two), but I've yet to read anything that compares the 1010 with the 1010-LT. How different are they?? Is the 1010-LT closer to the 410 or the 1010 in terms of performance and capabilities?? I went to M-Audio's website and compared the specs they provide and can't seem to answer the question on my own. A little help answering the questions would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks,

Eric

I have a 1010LT but don't have a 1010 nor a 410. From what I've heard from others (or was it read?) is that the 1010LT is more like the 410 (but with more inputs - which makes it more convenient for recording analog 5.1 than the 410) than to a 1010.

The 1010LT is (at least mostly) a 410 with more inputs. The two main differences are

a) converters on 1010lt are on the card, whereas on the 1010 they're in the external box.

b) converters on 1010 are higher spec parts than the 1010LT - note that this doesn't necessarily mean it sounds better, though

I *think* the 1010lt has the adjustable output volume trim per channel which the 1010 lacks which would make it more convenient for typical htpc use but someone else will have to verify that. I have a 1010 which I quite like, but I've never used either the 1010LT or the 410.
