A friend of mine has a M&K V76 subwoofer. The unit powers on (red light) but has no sound. I emailed Ken (former owner of M&K) and he said to check the internal fuse. Does anyone know where on the board the internal fuse is located?

You might see if David Fabrikant of Ascend Acoustics can assist you as he was involved with many M&K subs back when he was an engineer for them.

I just had a similar problem with a Phase Technology subwoofer. For mine, it was just a case of removing the screws from the amp at the back of the sub. The amp then slid out of the case and the internal fuses were clearly visible on the amp board.


Replacement was as simple as popping the old fuses out and new ones in. Slide the amp back into place, screw it into place, plug it in, and hope that the issue is solved.

Mine only seems to have one internal fuse, but it isn't a normal looking fuse.
