I am currently running an IF SP4805, using the M1-to-DVI cable. On one one I have successfully been using a DVI-to-HDMI adapter for a while now with no HDCP issues or perceived loss of image.


Now I am looking at possibly upgrading to the Mitsubishi HD1000U projector. My M1-to-DVI cable was wired through the walls when I finished the room and I wanted to know if there was anyway to retain its services as an HDMI cable.

I have been considering upgrading from a 4805 to a HD70 and I have been wondering the same thing. Take a look at monoprice. You can find a M1 female to HDMI male adapter as well as other adapters.

I recently changed out my M1/DVI cable on my SP5000, and used a HDMI cable with a HDMI Female/M1 male adaptor from Monoprice and had great results, and the price is great. Since you are unable to change your cable, I think this is what you are looking for.

I actually got my other DVI-to-HDMI adapter from monoprice...I must have just missed that one somehow!
