I own a M20s, and recently got a chance to view a M20x in a similiar setup as mine. I really could not notice a better picture quality from DVD. I did notice a little better brightness with the 20x. I orginally was thinking about stepping up to the 20x, but after viewing it, its really not that much difference. Has anyone else seen both of these PJ's? Probably not since there is only one other person i know that owns a 20s. Isnt an XGA double the pixels? Shouldnt it be twice as clear?


Some thoughts would be apprciated.

XGA would have rougly 1.67 x the pixels per panel as SVGA.

The "twice as clear" expectation is misleading. An XGA projector has more pixels packed more closely together in the same amount of space, and what it will do is reduce the screendoor effect. But it's still working with the same fixed resolution from its signal source (the DVD). Scaling a DVD picture up to a higher resolution is not the same thing as suddenly making it high definition.
