Since the full featured demo is about to go online today, I figured it was time to make this thread. If you want to know how to get the demo then follow these steps:


Go to gamestop and put $5 down and receive a card with code on it.

Now you can cancel your reservation and get your $5 back if you want to.


I will most likely cancel my reservation next week since I hate gamestop but want the demo tonight.

I'll wait after years of looking and just saying Meh to Madden. but it appears they're on the right track finally.

Definitely liking it so far. However the buttons have obviously changed since 01 (the last one I played). Graphics are fantastic.


Secondary is tough even on the pro setting. The move realisticly and LB's don't move on the ball until they actually see it in the air.


They have a system that sorts plays by madden's picks, formation, playtype, and player. This is cool, but tends to make picking plays a little awkward at first. Fortunately once you pick a catagory the game automatically stays w/ that unless you want to change it.


Audible system is pretty sweet. Able to change the play w/ a flick of the R stick. Unfortunately the demo doesn't let you customize them.

Graphics are sharper than last year and better than the NCAA Football counterpart. Gameplay has not changed that much but computer A.I. is definitely improved. The in-game cut scenes are a nice touch. Can't wait to use the franchise mode once the game is released.

it's made great strides this year. and supposedly, it's an earlier build, so it's missing 2-3 weeks of fine tuning and whatnot. can't wait to play the final build. it's been awhile since madden has been a video game staple in my house.

I went ahead and paid the five bucks at gamestop for the demo. So far it's way better than the previous ps3 maddens! Even with only being able to play as the cards or steelers

it feels more sim like than the lightspeed oflast years. Line backers no long cover with the skill and speed of cornerbacks. It's easier to pass (that could be attributed to the cards passing game)and no more out running everyone to the corner on runs like before you really have to follow your blocks. Looks great so far!

Good to hear. If TW will get their lazy a$$es out to my house to fix my connection I'll get to play it too! It's only been 5 or 6 days, can't expect too much from the company with the worst customer service known to man.

Graphics look great. It runs really good and graphically it finally looks like a game in the same league with The Show.


However, the game speed is kind of slow compared to NCAA Football

Stupid question, but what button is turbo when on offense? I know it is X on defense, but it is something different on offense.

It's the right trigger (R2) for both offense and defense.

Not sure about this year's Madden but in NCAA 10 the "X" button is for "defensive assist". What that does is that when you're controlling a player sometimes you may get out of position and pressing "X" will help the player get back into his defensive assignment position.
