MadVR output to MKV?

I want to apply DNR to an MKV file to remove the grain effect but I do not have a HTPC hooked up to my TV. I DO have a powerful PC with an NVidia RTX 2080 card in it. Is there some way I can encode the MKV movie and run it through MadVR to end up with another MKV file with DNR built into the file?
I am not looking for a crazy detailed guide, just whether it is possible and some direction as how to get started or a link to a page with instructions.

Thanks in advance for any help!

There are lots of tools out there to re-encode video and use all kind of filters to reduce noise, sharpen, etc. I haven't done this in a long time but used to use a tool called MeGUI (https://sourceforge.net/projects/megui/). Probably something better out there now like handbrake, etc. Personally I think it's a waste of time if you're starting out with a high quality source, but it's certainly something you can do.
