I am at a friends house today and we are watching the games. He has had a black horizontal line through the top of the screen for a while now. He now has two more above it that come and go. I have search multiple forums and googled the issue to no avail. I tried callign Magnavox but they closed about twenty minutes ago.

Has anyone had this issue before, is there a repair or solution?

Thanks.

-Bill

Were you watching the games in HD or SD? This sounds like data lines and is related to the overscan settings on his panel. Was he stretching an SD picture?

The lines are actually always there. It doesn't matter what input or view. I think it actually maybe something with the connections for the tv screen, but I don't know enough of how it workds to be sure.

I'm having the same problem.

I have two lines one at the very top, almost don't notice it, and the other one about 1/4 the way down the TV.

Interestingly last night when I turned the TV on there were two lines at the top and the one 1/4 the way down was gone. Watched about 5 hours of TV and no line.

This morning it's back again. Now last night was the first time in a long time that I've turned this TV on... (I've been waiting for this room to be set up) so perhaps that has something to do with it, but I just can't help thinking it's power issue or something. Since I know that line can light up it's obviously just not getting the proper signal or something. Thoughts?

And literally as I was typing the above post the line went away? I think the TV is messing with me. Would love to figure this out.
