1. If I get a new Subwoofer that does NOT have magnetic shielding, how far away from the Plasma and AVR does the sub need to be?


2. Does anyone recommend putting a subwoofer in the corner behind a sectional sofa? Would it matter if that sub was a down-firing or front-firing?

Okay, found a thread that helped me out with the first question. From reading that, sounds like a NON magnetic shielding sub shouldn't affect a Plasma or a AVR. But what about my 2nd question?

My sub is in the corner behind my sectional and I dont have any problems.

Is it Down-Firing or Front?
