magnify an image while maintaining its aspect ratio

676 Views 8 Replies 3 Participants Last post by  HDfury
Does anyone know of a VP that allows incremental zooming to magnify an image while maintaining its aspect ratio? I'm searching for something to get rid of crawlers at bottom of screen. My DVDO Duo has this feature, but it just died on me...

TIA

Really-53 views and no reply...is this a stupid question that doesn't deserve a response or am I asking the wrong peeps?

I've googled every term I can think off and can't find the right search phrase.

Do any of the HDFury units have this capability?

Hello, at which resolution do you want such feature 1080p or 4K ?

Howdy-

In this application, 1080P is fine. I currently run a D*TV HR24 into the Duo, with 1 output going to pre-pro; the other to a Metra M3B that feeds auxiliary household 720 displays.

I think Lumagen might have solution for you did you ask them ?
Any legacy lumagen radiance product has zoom feature or input cropping. that should sort you out

If I had answered 4K, would your response have been different?

I'm just perplexed that this feature is no longer available. Am I the only one that doesn't like crawlers during ball games?

No, actually I was about to say that if you need it for 4K then ONLY Lumagen have such solution (at 7k$ cost I think)

At 1080p I think others brands have solutions, I'm just not aware of them, we could also make solution for this using X4 but would need some serious demand for it before making such feature.

Surely not, I hate them as well, but I guess not everyone can "imagine" that such solution exists and hence they are not looking for it.
