BravoHD is on D*? Wow, who woulda thunk it. All that NBA basketball in HD! Oh, wait....

It's a certainty that you will get many, many more chances to see whatever you missed tonight. The loop will work it's way around in your favor.

Maybe it's Bravo's way of expanding its outstanding 24 hour-a-day HD line-up. "Ryan Adams: Live From Jamaica: Special Pixellated Version"

Was it the 2004 Summer Olympics? If it was, it's the show. The '04 olympics in HD had alot of pixelation problems.

Not exactly an off air recording like what you were seeing. Bravo's HD 2004 Summer Olympics are a different set of parameters for transmission. People have remarked how much better the quality is on BravoHD.

For the time being, Bravo and BravoHD+ are fed by Rainbow Media services.

I don't know what the story is with D*. For CBS-HD they get WCBS fiber feeds, for NBC-HD the take WNBC off air. Who knows which cable system is feeding them BravoHD+.

I saw some diving the other day and will admit that it looked much better than the 24hr dealy loop NBC was showing during the Olympics. Compared to the 2002 winter games shows or some of D*s other HD offerings it dosen't look that great.

I have noticed this on other programs with this channel. More noticably on the cirque de sol(sp) specials. Big time when the guys are jumping from one swing to another and the red background.

According to the bitrate monitor, Bravo HD was getting 16.5 MB on 10/25/04. You wouldn't think that bandwidth was causing the visual artifacts.
